Antiballistic Security And Protection, Inc.
(ASAP) has developed a patent-pending technology leading to a family of
highly protective walls that incorporate it's proprietary Ballistic Armor
Matrix and Anti-Forced Entry Shield. Shown here
is the new State Department Certified BAM-1A - combination antiballistic
and anti-forced entry wall. The BAM-1A includes the structurally proven
ThermaSteel panels on each side, the proprietary antiballistic ASAP BAM
Inner Matrix including DuPont Kevlar® and the ASAP exclusive anti-forced
entry shield.
The BAM-1A ASAP panel has been tested by a US government-approved facility
and certified as an antiballistic/anti-forced entry wall unit. In this test
three distinct full metal jacket bullets were fired into the wall with none
exiting. Then the same wall was attacked with a wide variety of manual tools
and resisted forced-entry for the prescribed time period. In a separate
test the Underwriters Laboratories Inc. in Northbrook, Illinois established
that the ASAP antiballistic wall met the parameters for a UL Level 8
5 shots within a 4-1/2 square using 30/06 147 grain, full metal jacket
bullets with a strike velocity of just under 3,000 feet per second. The
wall stopped all 5 bullets from penetrating through.
